MERRY CHRISTMAS and . . .

Hi All

Thanks to all children and parents for a successful and memorable year.  A special thanks to those parents who have been able to support the class with transport, supervision with sport and other EOTC activities.

The Room 6 Blog has had over 4500 hits since started in April and I know children have been proud to share some of their successes online.  It will continue until early next year when we will design a fresh looking 2013 Blog and all children will create and share their own individual blogs.  In the mean time, feel free to let the children send in some holiday shots to share with their peers.
(email room06@haumoana.school.nz)

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

Shared Lunch

The children have requested a shared lunch on Monday.  Remember to bring a plate!

Swim and Survival Skills

Coiling ropes proved to be a challenge for some!

Wrist to wrist is essential for a strong grip.

Rope throwing proved to be quite accurate.
It was a perfect day to practice the skills needed to ensure that children develop the skills needed to keep safe near water.

bread making

Some people in Room 6 have been making bread rolls.
First we had to put in all of the dry ingredients together then we put in
the wet ingredients. We put on some oil and rubbed it all over our hands
and keaded the dough mixture.
AND IT WAS YUMMY!!!

Food for Thought

Ta dah!

Ham and tuna - an aquired taste??

Camera shy?

Better than mums!

An appetising selection
Baguettes were my pick!

Well presented lunch

Zavanah still has all her fingers!
What a fantastic learning experience!  This week Room 6 have been learning about the 'food triangle', how to read labels on packaging and cooperatively organising and making their own healthy lunch.  Check out the 'master chefs' in action.
