Haumoana vs
Masonvale Girls
Haumoana’s kick off gave them time to hatch a plan. The girls
were too sharp and managed to get the ball. Haumoana was off to a bad start.
After Haumoana’s season so far, all wins, this was a much more
challenging team. Working together they managed to score a goal, just breaking
through the defence line. After that their hopes had soared, soon they were in
there again. The girls had proved to be a fast team and increased their attack.
Thanks to James, Haumoana had a good defence and didn’t let the ball through
once; James also managed to kick the ball to Haumoanas strikers. Just before
half time Haumoana scored another goal making the score to 2-0.
Half time gave Haumoana a time to build up their strength. Their coach Tom had seen better plays and made
sure they stepped up their level. With oranges and water, including an energy
tablet they got ready to go out.
The 2nd half started of great with a goal in the
first 5 minutes. The girls had seemed to have got tired and soon let 3 more
goals slip in. Haumoana increased their attack and got through once again
scoring through the unfortunate goalie. The girls swapped over their goalie but
it did no good Haumoana had got to powerful. When the final whistle blew the
score had ended up becoming 10>0 to Haumoana.
Haumoana was once again victorious!
Congratulations to Frances Rainbow - Player of the Day
